WEBFISHING - How to Download Guitar Player (Play MIDI's on Guitar! NO MODS NEEDED!)
Get Started!
First things first, head over to this Github: https://github.com/KevAquila/WEBFISHING-Guitar-Player/releases
Extract this file once it downloads!
WINDOWS WILL TELL YOU THAT IT PREVENTED IT FROM RUNNING! THERE IS NO VIRUS! CLICK VIEW MORE AND RUN ANYWAY!
Basic Overview
Open up the program! You should see a list of songs on the left side. (It comes with a CRAP TON)
To play any of these songs, pull out your WEBFISHING guitar and click Start! The song should start playing! During this time, you will not be able to input anything on WEBFISHING while it is playing, you can open other tabs and regain control by clicking Stop or Pause.
The MIDI player WILL GET MORE LAGGY THE MORE PEOPLE ARE IN YOUR SERVER!! 1-3 PEOPLE IS BEST, ESPECIALLY FOR FAST GUITAR PARTS!
We will now go over how to add songs to this list...
How to Convert MIDIs to Play
Once you have a MIDI file, go into the folder labeled "MidiProccesor".
Drop your MIDIs into the folder labeled "midi" and run the program named "MIDIProcessor". This will open a black text box screen that will tell you when the conversion is finished.
When it finishes, close out of the "MIDIProccesor" application and head into the "songs" folder.
Take the converted file and go back to the main folder "GuitarPlayer" and drop it into the "songs" folder in there, NOT the one in our "MidiProccesor" folder.
Relaunch the GuitarPlayer application to see them appear.
I also like to delete the MIDIs in the "midi" folder once they're done so there's not a ton of copies.
.gp files and How to Use Them (Songsterr)
Since you're more than likely not going to find a solo guitar MIDI or if you want a certain guitar part, I will teach you about .gp, Songsterr and the easily bypass-able paywall, and MuseScore studio.
First, head over to Songsterr: https://www.songsterr.com/
Search for a song you want and click Edit at the bottom, then click Download. This will bypass the MIDI paywall and you won't have to pay crap.
You should have a .gp file of your song now.
Next, download MuseScore Studio: https://musescore.org/en
This link will download "MuseScore Hub" and from there you can download MuseScore Studio.
Finally, open MuseScore Studio and click "Open other..." on the bottom right corner.
Open your .gp and you should see sheet music pop up.
Click File and then Export on the top left, and from there, select your guitar part. YOU CAN ONLY CHOOSE ONE! EVERY SEPARATE PART/INSTRUMENT WILL SPLIT INTO DIFFERENT MIDI FILES! DESELECT ENTIRE SCORE!
Once you have your guitar part, choose your format as MIDI and export.
Repeat the MIDI conversion steps in the last section for this guitar part and you've done it!
Musescore
Musescore is another site that has great MIDIs locked behind a paywall...
So we'll use a Chrome Extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/music-score-downloader/jhogldboghgffknljgnomjkcfbapogdf As of making this, this Chrome extension works! It may be taken down or unusable in the future!
Musescore is here: https://musescore.com/
It's pretty self explanatory, click the extension when on a sheet and select "Download MIDI" from there.
Online Sequencer
Another site, this one is free!
There's a few good ones, but don't expect much.
You Did It!
Have fun! Thanks for viewing my guide!
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS (AS OF WRITING THIS) THE 6TH MOST POPULAR WEBFISHING GUIDE!!! <333
